Corporate engagement for CSR commitments
Lord Buddha Educational has been one of the early players when it comes to working with companies for delivering their Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) programmes. Given our experience in several segments, we offer our CSR partners a holistic approach towards CSR. Basing our work and interventions on the principles of creating shared value, we are currently working with several companies to implement a wide variety programmes.
Lord Buddha Educational works with its CSR partners to deliver programmes focussed on overall community development. The interventions are mainly in the broad areas of:
(1) Education Services
Comprehensive learning solutions for a wide spectrum of audiences ranging from children in schools and informal setting, to teacher, adults and corporate
Main areas of intervention:
– Comprehensive education services
– Focus on children/students from disadvantaged backgrounds
– Setting up of computer lab
– Infrastructure development
– Teacher training
– Policy advocacy with Government
– Skills centres
(2) Skills Development
Strengthening community from all sections of the Organisation including women, minorities and underprivileged youth, work with both Government and Private Partners for delivering large scale skills mandates. We follow a sectoral approach towards skilling, by linking training to employment
Main areas of intervention:
– Training of Trainers
– Up-skilling for in-service staff
– Setting up of skills training centres
– Mobilisation, selection and enrolment of trainees
– Training and Assessment of trainees
– Stipend and PPS to trainees
In pursuance of the Prime Ministers National Mission to skill 500 million people by 2022, Lord Buddha Educational has also formed a separate division for skilling India youth.
With a focus on making students Job-ready, employability is a critical aspect of our training programmes. We impart employability skills through short term programmes, to approx 10,000 socially / economically disadvantaged youth, annually and place them in employment intensive sectors like textiles, leather, engineering, construction, hospitality, services, IT etc.
(3) Livelihood, Health, Environment and Agriculture Initiatives
We are working towards offering a complete rural / urban development solution through our Health, Livelihood, Environment and Agriculture initiatives. The broad objective of our initiatives is to strengthen the existing system through interventions based on the following:
– Program Management for health, agriculture, environment and livelihood initiatives
– Technology as a bridge for health care, agriculture, environment and livelihood
– Skill development for field based and support staff
(4) Disaster Management
We have set up an online donation page to collect organizational as well as individual contribution for the poor, needy and affected people’s livelihoods and access to the outside world.
